Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated chemist/biochemist to join our R&D team in the development of our single-molecule bio-sensing devices. We require knowledge and experience in micro/nano fluidics chemistry and strong background in surface chemistry, especially as it relates to silicon-based platforms in biological environments. The candidate should have analytical skills for advanced R/D work, and familiarity with working with biological molecules and characterization techniques using state of the art tools.

The biochemist will work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop a single-molecule protein sensing system on a Silicon die.

Essential Skills

PhD or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Bio-Engineering with a relevant background.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in experimental chemistry / biochemistry and analytical methods

Experience and ability to implement, optimize and quantify protocols, methods and techniques of scalable surface chemistry related to Silicon chip surfaces targeted for flow-cell/biological environments

Ability to work efficiently in a team.

Desired Skills

Experience with single-molecule and nano-structure related chemical processes and characterization

Experienced with micro or nano fluidics device fabrication and treatment

Familiar with working with biological molecules

Lab automation
