Software Developer – Freelance / Project-Based

We are looking for a hands-on software developer to join an early-stage digital product and help take it to the next level in terms of stability, scalability, and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the ongoing development and refactoring of a live web application
• 
  
• Improve infrastructure to support higher traffic and better reliability
• 
  
• Set up local/staging environments and CI/CD pipelines
• 
  
• Implement logging, error tracking, and retry mechanisms
• 
  
• Optimize backend workflows involving data processing and automation
• 
  
• Enhance frontend usability and persistence mechanisms

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience building modern web applications
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (React / Next.js) and Python
• 
  
• Experience with server-side development and working with APIs (REST or web scraping)
• 
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Firebase, Netlify, or similar)
• 
  
• Understanding of frontend/backend integration, session management, and storage strategies (e.g., localStorage, DB)
• 
  
• Ability to set up basic DevOps flows (local development stack, staging environment, CI/CD)

Bonus if you have:

• Experience in handling PDF generation, form data extraction, or document processing
• 
  
• Worked with serverless architecture or hybrid infrastructure setups
• 
  
• Familiarity with analytics and logging tools (e.g., PostHog, Sentry)
• 
  
• A mindset for security, especially when dealing with user data and file uploads
