About the Role
Lumen is seeking a hands-on, experienced Strategic Program Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives that combine hardware and software components. In this strategic and operational role, you will take full ownership of end-to-end program delivery, from planning through launch and stabilization, driving alignment, streamlining execution, and ensuring measurable outcomes.
You’ll work closely with leadership and teams across engineering, product, operations, marketing, customer support and more, as well as external vendors. While this is not a technical engineering role, success requires a solid background in technology companies where product development integrates both software and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Take hands-on ownership of multiple concurrent projects, from initiation through delivery and post-launch optimization.
- Align internal teams and external partners around goals, timelines, and expectations, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Balance strategic planning with tactical execution, diving into the details while maintaining high-level oversight.
- Track scope, timelines, dependencies, and budgets, proactively managing changes, resolving blockers, and reporting progress to leadership.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation and deliver insights through key program metrics, decisions, and risk indicators.
- Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement, enable structured decision-making, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on project or program management experience, leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple domains such as product, operations, engineering, or marketing.
- Background in companies where product development combines software and hardware (e.g., consumer tech, medical devices, IoT).
- Proven experience in customer-facing project delivery, translating business needs into scalable operational plans.
- Skilled in defining and tracking program metrics, applying operational frameworks, and driving continuous improvement.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- English at mother-tongue level, with outstanding communication, leadership presence, and stakeholder management skills — including comfort reporting to executive audiences.
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday, or similar project management and tracking platforms.
- Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations and delivery is a plus.
