Redis is looking for a Team Lead to lead our Billing domain of the Redis Cloud. The Billing domain is responsible for the monetization engine behind our cloud product. It encompasses complex logic that must be accurate at all times, timely billing thousands of customers worldwide. This domain presents unique technical challenges, integration with various billing systems, handling edge cases in usage metering, and managing pricing strategies. Precision is critical: we don’t mess with people’s money. Every change must be reliable, auditable, and production-grade from day one. As a leader in this space, you’ll guide a team operating at the intersection of infrastructure, finance, and customer trust.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of developers while supporting their interest, challenge them, help them grow
• Be the focal point of your domain
• Define the technical roadmap of the domain while making sure well structured, scalable applications are built at high quality and on time
• Work closely with product group to shape the product roadmap for the short - mid term planning
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, customer success, finance and other internal stakeholders
• Recruit, mentor, and develop your team to foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of working experience working with large-scale, complex products.
• 2+ years of software development team management experience.
• Strong technical background in backend services and system design
• Experience with web applications.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on mindset and ability to dive quickly into complex domains
  
  

Extra Great If You Have

• B.S. in CS, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms.
