Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is looking for a Computer Engineer to join the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This is a hands-on technical role supporting cutting-edge teaching and research environments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain computer systems and lab equipment.
• Manage software installation, security, backups, and databases.
• Administer server environments (Linux and Windows).
• Provide IT support to faculty, students, and researchers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Assist in developing internal systems and websites.
• Handle IT inventory and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with the school’s IT team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows at the system level.
• Experience in storage systems, virtualization, and cloud computing.
• Advantage: Experience supporting CAD tools (e.g., Virtuoso, Cadence).
• Advantage: Programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Perl).
