Bookkeeper & Payroll Controller (Maternity Cover with Potential for Permanent Placement)

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Controller to join our finance team. This is a maternity leave cover position with the potential to become permanent. You’ll report directly to our VP of Finance and play a key role in managing financial operations in a high-growth, international tech environment.

What You'll Do:

• Full responsibility for the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly closings
• Process payroll and manage related reporting to government authorities
• Handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial record accuracy
• Manage accounts payable (AP), payments, and vendor relationships
• Issue invoices and manage collections for accounts receivable (AR)
• Support cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external vendors

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of high-level bookkeeping experience (Type 3) – Must
• Experience working in a global high-tech company with multi-currency accounting – Must
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite – Must
• Certified payroll accountant – Advantage
• High level of proficiency in English – Must
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
