About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized IT Systems Manager to lead, coordinate, and maintain all enterprise and operational IT systems within our biotech company. This includes responsibility for the full lifecycle of systems such as ERP (e.g., Priority), reporting platforms (e.g., Dream Reports), SaaS applications (e.g., Veeva, Blue Mountain), and SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing cross-functional IT infrastructure, compliance-oriented systems, and automation platforms in a regulated environment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and technical fluency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation, administration, and maintenance of all core IT systems across the organization.
• Manage and optimize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Priority) and ensure integration with other platforms.
• Ensure functionality, compliance, and performance of validated systems such as:

-Veeva Vault (Quality/Document Management)

-Blue Mountain (Asset/Calibration Management)

-Dream Report (Automated Reporting)

-SCADA systems (Process Monitoring and Automation)

• Lead system selection, validation, upgrade, and decommissioning projects.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures for data security, system integrity, and IT compliance (21 CFR Part 11, GxP).
• Coordinate with QA, Manufacturing, R&D, and external vendors to align system functionality with operational needs.
• Manage relationships with software providers, integrators, and managed service partners.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and risk assessments related to IT systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and provide Tier 2/3 support for system-related issues.
• Plan and manage IT system budgets and procurement strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing IT systems in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry.
• Proven experience with:

-ERP systems (Priority an advantage)

-SaaS platforms (Veeva, Blue Mountain)

-SCADA and/or MES environments

-System validation and CSV processes

• Strong understanding of compliance requirements (GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Experience leading cross-departmental IT projects and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience integrating IT and OT systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices in a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted infrastructure and data integration tools.
