Senior System Administrator

A leading defense company in Ashdod is seeking an experienced System Administrator for a significant role involving the design, setup, and management of complex IT infrastructures.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and manage end-to-end system infrastructures, including greenfield environments
• Perform integration between systems and multi-interface architectures
• Work with core Microsoft infrastructures: Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Entra
• Manage advanced virtualization platforms (VMware, VRA, VROps)
• Maintain Windows Server operating systems (2012–2019), apply updates, and resolve system issues
• Write scripts and automation processes to optimize system performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical education
• At least 4–5 years of experience as a System Administrator in a large-scale organization (200+ servers) – mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft environments – setup and management of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, advanced GPO management, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
• Proven experience with Exchange – significant advantage for experience in setting up and managing enterprise email systems
• Broad knowledge and experience with VMware infrastructures – including setup from scratch, management of complex virtual environments (VRA/VROps), and advanced troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Azure, Office 365, Intune – required
• Experience with security and storage solutions (NetApp / EMC / Hitachi) – an advantage
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and working in Microservices environments – major advantage
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS / GCP) – an advantage
