Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chinese Food Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, maintain high food quality standards, and ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the kitchen
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and high-quality food preparation
• Adjust seasoning and presentation based on customer preferences when required
• Manage portion control and minimize waste
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chinese cuisine cook or chef
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, spices, and regional dishes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good time management and multitasking skills
• Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Culinary training or relevant certification is a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
  
  

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in local languages (for effective communication within the team)
• Basic English proficiency
• Knowledge of the Chinese language is an asset
