Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Developer who will serve as the technical backbone of our development team. This role involves leading complex technical initiatives, mentoring team members, and being the go-to technical advisor for challenging problems. You'll be responsible for architecting solutions, driving technical excellence, and making a direct impact on our business outcomes. This is a hybrid position, combining remote work with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical consultant for complex architectural decisions
• Lead infrastructure development and system optimization initiatives
• Mentor junior team members and drive technical best practices
• Handle critical technical issues with speed and precision
• Champion microservices architecture and modern development practices

Required Qualifications:

• Computer Science degree with a GPA of 80+ from a recognized university
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on development experience - MANDATORY
• Strong expertise in Python or Ruby (experience with both is a plus)
• Advanced SQL knowledge and database optimization skills
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and microservices architecture
• Proven experience in developing and upgrading infrastructure systems
• Leadership capabilities and willingness to take full ownership of technical challenges
• Problem-solving excellence with creative and innovative thinking
• Strong work ethic with "thinking big" mentality
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache Airflow (significant advantage)
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka (significant advantage)
• Experience with RabbitMQ message queuing system (advantage)
• Big Data experience and analytics capabilities (advantage)
• Knowledge of Apache Spark (advantage)
• Expertise with databases (Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL)
• Deep familiarity with AWS cloud environment
• Advanced experience in Linux operating systems
• Track record of mentoring junior developers
