Production Line and Automation Engineer

For a growing technology startup in Rehovot, developing and manufacturing innovative solutions in the field of energy and materials, from the laboratory stage to the market.

Responsibilities

Supporting and maintaining production continuity

In-depth knowledge of the line, real-time troubleshooting, and ongoing and preventive maintenance (calibration and replacement of components), to ensure process availability and stability.

Serves as focal point for handling technical problems and maintains compliance with quality goals and schedules.

Process upgrade and integration of new products

Implement changes according to R&D requirements and improve parameters to increase efficiency and quality, with minimal downtime management. Responsibility for new product acquisition (NPI): defining processes, running pilots and reporting on engineering adjustments required for DFM.

Planning facilities and tools

Developing supporting jigs and test facilities using CAD (SolidWorks, etc.), working with suppliers and building prototypes to improve accuracy, safety and ease of operation.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

Working closely with R&D and quality teams: providing engineering feedback on development requirements, participating in design surveys and adapting the line to technological changes. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment are required.

Job Requirements

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Practical Engineer (הנדסאי מכונות)

Minimum 2 years of experience in designing, maintaining and upgrading production systems

Full command of CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent)

High level of Hebrew and English

Advanntages

Experience working with PLC and automation, familiarity with Roll-to-Roll systems, background in Lean/Six Sigma and SOP writing.
