About Us
Ejrider LLC is a commercialization catalyst for breakthrough inventions that create transformational industry impact and improve lives on a global scale. Our scientists and business leaders bring our signature methodology and perspective to identifying, acquiring and commercializing promising
intellectual property in industries that have gone without meaningful innovation in decades.
ejrider believes its possible to deliver business outcomes hand in hand with conserving the earth's finite resources. thats why our methodology for deciding what to commercialize goes beyond we business outcomes. any invention we choose to commercialize must impact one billion lives and conserve the earth's finite resources in addition to increasing revenue, profitability and shareholder value at scale.
ejrider Israel serves as the research and development arm of ejrider Global,
our U.S.-based parent company. The company specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of cutting-edge technologies based on terahertz waves, offering groundbreaking solutions across various industries.
What does ejrider Israel do?
ejrider Israel acts as the innovation and technology hub of the group, focusing primarily on the development of terahertz wave-based technologies.
What are terahertz waves?
Terahertz waves occupy a less-explored region of the electromagnetic spectrum. ejider Israel leverages their unique properties to develop innovative and transformative solutions.
Unlike conventional technologies such as X-rays, infrared (IR), or MRI, terahertz waves offer high precision, rapid scanning capabilities, and non-invasive detection, requiring minimal material to identify and sense targets.
✔ Key Advantages:
• Real-time, high-speed data acquisition
• Exceptional accuracy and maximum efficiency without physical contact
• Completely safe for human use – no ionizing radiation, unlike UV or X-rays
Role SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned Embedded Systems Engineer to lead our embedded R&D efforts for cutting-edge terahertz spectroscopy systems. This leadership role will involve oversight of hardware-software integration for laser control, high-speed data acquisition systems, and FPGA-based preprocessing and AI integration. The successful candidate will drive the design, development, and optimization of our embedded firmware and collaborate cross-functionally to translate research into productized systems.
Key Responsibilities· Lead a team of embedded engineers working on firmware and system-level design for terahertz spectroscopy instruments.
· Mentor junior team members and establish best practices for embedded systems development and hardware interfacing.
· Develop embedded firmware to control lasers, temperature controllers, and current drivers via Pico and other control devices.
· Architect and implement high-speed data acquisition and preprocessing pipelines (e.g., sampling in Gbps range).
· Collaborate with hardware teams to specify and integrate FPGA-based preprocessing and AI acceleration units.
· Design communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.) between system components.
· Interface with physics and signal processing teams to implement real-time algorithms and ensure system responsiveness.
· Ensure robustness and maintainability of embedded systems across product lifecycles.
· Manage project timelines, system requirements, and participate in cross-functional R&D initiatives.
QualificationsMust-Have:
· B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
· 7+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including at least 2 years of technical leadership or team lead experience.
· Proficiency in C/C++ for bare-metal or RTOS environments.
· Strong experience with hardware-level debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG).
· Solid grasp of analog signal acquisition, ADC/DAC control, and real-time system constraints.
· Experience with laser control systems and analog hardware such as TECs, drivers, and precision regulators.
· Proven track record in designing, testing, and maintaining complex embedded systems in a product-focused environment.
Nice-to-Have:
· Hands-on experience with FPGA development (e.g., VHDL/Verilog or HLS) for signal preprocessing.
· Familiarity with high-speed serial interfaces (PCIe, LVDS, JESD204B).
· Exposure to embedded AI/ML model deployment or data preprocessing on edge devices.
· Background in spectroscopy, photonics, or scientific instrumentation.
· Experience with Python and scripting for testing, automation, or hardware calibration.
