About the job
We are looking for highly talented and motivated PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to join our research group. The successful candidates will explore fungal-host interactions, fungal cell death networks, immune triggers, and fungal viruses (mycoviruses) in human pathogenic fungi. The work includes basic science research, with possible involvement in animal experiments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of novel antifungal strategies.

The project is led by Dr. Neta Shlezinger, an expert in fungal-host interactions and antifungal immunity.
To excel in this role, we seek candidates with:
• Background in microbiology; immunology experience is an advantage
• Computational biology skills are preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Funding: Monthly stipend of 2,230–2,500 USD (PhD) or 3,340 USD (postdoc)
The position is based at The Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Rehovot Campus, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
