Why the role exists
xfunnel.ai is a leading startup in helping companies improve how they appear on AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s Gemini. We help our customers turn AI-search visibility into opportunities and new users for our customers. Your job is 70% growth manager, helping customers create and execute growth strategies to grow their traffic and conversion from AI search, and 30% product manager - turning learnings into features and playbooks we can replicate to all customers on our platform. Our growth means our customers’ growth.
Reports to: CPO / Co-Founder
What you’ll do
- Own 5-10 customer accounts. Learn their growth goals, and use our platform to help them take action to achieve results.
- Spot growth gaps. Pull data from our platform (and GA, CRM, ads, etc.) to surface quick wins and bigger bets.
- Recommend clear actions. Write short, plain-English plans—channel tweaks, CRO tests, content fixes, budget shifts. Create longer term strategies to help them win.
- Drive follow-through. Get customer sign-off, track tasks, and keep everyone honest on deadlines and KPIs. Present achievements to customer leadership.
- Measure & iterate. Report results, adjust the plan, repeat.
- Feed insights back to product. Define how we should build features and product roadmap based on your learnings from customers, telling our engineers what to build to give more value to customers.
What makes you a fit
- 3–5 years in growth, marketing, or customer-success roles—ideally at a mid-size tech/service company or digital agency.
- Comfortable with marketing analytics basics (funnels, cohorts, SQL or spreadsheet pivots).
- Can translate numbers into crisp recommendations and deliver them to stakeholders.
- Confident running discovery calls with customers and pushing back when strategies won’t work.
- Self-directed in a distributed team; you plan your own week and hit your own deadlines.
- Experience achieving results through marketing levers, specifically with content marketing, SEM, or SEO.
- English - native level fluency, you will be managing US clients daily.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven marketing or SEO/search analytics.
- Experience defining product features and roadmaps, and communicating these specs to engineers.
- Experience with programmatic SEO & large scale content plays.
