Cloud Security Architect – AWS Specialty

Location: Tel Aviv

A leading financial organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to take a strategic role in defining and guiding cloud security practices across the enterprise, with a strong focus on AWS environments.

This is a high-level advisory position, not a hands-on role, aimed at shaping policy, designing controls, and consulting on cloud projects with a broad technological and business perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement cloud security policies – primarily for AWS, with additional involvement in Azure and GCP.
• Evaluate new cloud initiatives and lead security architecture upscaling efforts across projects.
• Provide tailored security solutions aligned with evolving business and technology needs.
• Identify weaknesses in current processes and recommend improvements in cloud security posture.
• Serve as a methodological advisor on cloud security, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business drivers and provide secure architecture guidance.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in AWS environments – must
• Familiarity with Azure and GCP - Advantage
• Proven experience in cloud security architecture – must
• Strong understanding of business processes with the ability to design security solutions that serve organizational goals.
• Demonstrated expertise in defining cloud security policies, controls, and methodologies.
• Experience in driving organizational change and process improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with security regulations, frameworks, and standards.
