Product Design Lead

eCommerce startup found in 2015 has grown to over 100,000 customers, 500 million users per month & millions of annual revenue.

What’s the opportunity:

We are looking for a Product Design Lead to join and guide our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to take a central role in shaping the design vision of a huge-scale, product-led company.

As a Product Design Lead you’ll mentor and grow a team of talented designers while also rolling up your sleeves to craft intuitive, high-impact product experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design with business goals and user needs.

As a Product Design Lead you will:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers, fostering their growth and helping them deliver their best work.

• Own and evolve the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to execution and delivery.

• Translate complex product and business challenges into elegant and usable design solutions.

• Guide user research efforts to gather insights, validate ideas, and inform design decisions.

• Ensure a high standard of design execution and consistency across all touchpoints, maintaining and contributing to our design system.

• Partner closely with engineering and product teams to bring designs to life with a high level of craft and attention to detail.

• Use data, experimentation, and feedback to inform continuous improvement.

• Advocate for design across the company, influencing product strategy and decision-making at all levels.

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience in product design.

• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on product design skills across web or mobile, with a focus on simplicity, clarity, and user value.

• Proven experience managing and mentoring designers, with a passion for people development.

• Experience designing for low-touch SaaS, B2B2C, or consumer-facing products at scale.

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, you can clearly articulate your design decisions to stakeholders.

• Deep understanding of user-centered design, usability, and accessibility best practices.

• Ability to align design work with product and company strategy, using OKRs and KPIs to guide decisions.

• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with engineers.

It’s a bonus if:

• A degree in Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience contributing to or leading the development of a design system.

• Working on eCommerce products.
