The Role

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to take part in building a highly scalable and secure platform from the ground up. You'll join a small, elite engineering team and work closely with product, design, and leadership to shape the core of Tweed’s next-generation compliance system.

What You'll Do

Design and implement backend services and APIs powering the compliance engine

Work with technologies like Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, and AWS

Own critical components and help shape our product architecture and infrastructure

Collaborate with frontend, data, and DevOps engineers to ship high-quality features

Ensure scalability, observability, and performance of our systems

Contribute to a culture of excellence, velocity, and ownership

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend experience (Node.js preferred, but not mandatory)
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern CI/CD workflows
• Experience in building secure and robust APIs
• A strong sense of ownership and product thinking
• Bonus: Experience in fintech, compliance, fraud detection, or high-scale systems
