Job description:

As a Data Science Team Lead at Evolution, you will play a central role in driving the direction of our AI projects and our core AI-for-AI product, Earth. You’ll lead multidisciplinary initiatives that tackle real-world, high-impact challenges — while helping to shape both the strategy and execution of our platform, Earth. You’ll be guiding a team of brilliant and experienced data scientists, and working closely with product and business stakeholders to align goals and priorities.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a team of data scientists in designing, executing, and delivering advanced AI solutions.
• Manage full project lifecycles: ideation → development → deployment → monitoring → back to ideation.
• Develop innovative algorithms and experiment with novel modeling paradigms.
• Contribute to the core development of Earth, both as a user and as a builder.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to align on goals and KPIs.
• Design and optimize MLOps/DevOps workflows and architecture.
• Engage directly with clients: from translating business needs to providing support.
• Foster a fast-paced, Agile development culture and contribute to the product roadmap.

Mandatory requirements:

• MSc/Phd degree in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning roles.
• 2+ years in a leadership role, managing data science teams and projects.
• Proven experience managing AI/ML project lifecycles, including delivery to clients or production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with deep understanding of classic ML, deep learning, and LLMs.
• Familiarity with Data & ML platforms, Cloud and DevOps.
• Passion for innovation and curiosity to explore unfamiliar technologies.
• A true team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, methods, and frameworks.

Advantage:

• PhD in Computer Science with a focus on AI or Data Science.
• Native-level English or strong command of written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated strength in technical writing and documentation.

Job location:

Our office is located in the Bursa district of Ramat-Gan, right next to Israel Railways and the Light Rail. This is a primarily on-site role, with most work done from the office.
