Program Officer

The role includes:

1. Overseeing and managing programs funded by the foundation: all stages : from the identification phase, due diligence, preparing for decision / committee or board /follow-up, and monitoring.
2. Continuous learning of the social sector: trends and innovations in the field of philanthropy, in-depth issues in Israeli society, and familiarity with civil society organizations.
3. Willingness to travel extensively across the country for direct engagement with civil society organizations.
4. Assisting in the planning and management of donations and strategic partnerships.

Job Requirements:

• Proven professional experience in managing programs/projects in a philanthropic foundation – 5 years at least.
• In-depth knowledge of the social and philanthropic sector. Familiarity with the public sector is an advantage.
• Education: At least a Bachelor's degree, relevant professional programs and courses.
• Professional skills: High self-management ability, ability to analyze and manage budgets, critical and analytical thinking, driving complex processes (initiative, planning, and leadership), high-level written and oral communication skills (Hebrew/English).
• Personal and interpersonal skills: Teamwork, entrepreneurship, and creativity, excellent interpersonal relations, representational skills.
