UX Designer (12month FTE)

Your Impact

As a Product Designer, you would be part of a larger experienced design team at OpenText and report to the local UX Manager. A typical day at work would see you interacting with Product Management, R&D, and senior UX leadership, refining user flows of a complex product, creating pixel-perfect mockups, and contributing to our evolving design system. This role requires self-motivation and the ability to work both independently as part of a team.

What The Role Offers

• Work across teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of a highly complex SaaS platform, its domains, its users and their pain points.
• Work with Product Management and other designers to translate product vision and requirements into cohesive flows.
• Take ownership of the entire process, from exploring and ideating, through hands-on designing and documenting, all the way to delivering pixel-perfect mockups for production.
• Conduct usability tests and other types of UX validations with both internal and external design partners as required.
• Work with development teams to ensure designs are implemented according to specs, and come up with creative solutions to challenges that arise along the way.
• Create detailed, interactive prototypes for usability testing as needed.
• Leverage product thinking to drive innovation and contribute to the growth and success of our products.
• Maintain design precision and consistency by properly using our design system, ensuring pixel-perfect execution, structured layouts, and harmonious design.
• Be a Design System advocate and help get the different product teams on board to fully adopt it and follow its guidelines.
• Collaborate with our design system team to contribute to our new, evolving design system.
  
  

What You Will Need To Succeed

• 2-3 years of proven experience as a product designer in a tech company, working on enterprise-grade B2B SaaS products.
• Experience collaborating with developers and product managers in an Agile setting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to create visual design elements, such as components, icons and illustrations, while adhering to brand and design guidelines.
• Experience working with Design Systems and significant contributions to their development.
• Familiarity with GUI accessibility guidelines (Section 508, WCAG, etc.).
• Complete mastery of Figma.
