Technical Product Manager

We are a fast-growing DroneTech startup specializing in Visual Situational Awareness (GPS-free) for drones. Our AI-driven software enables camera-based autonomy capabilities for critical drone missions, in defense, homeland security (HLS), security and delivery markets. 

At the forefront of Sightec’s offerings is NavSight, a visual navigation system (GPS-free) designed for safe and critical drone missions. 

Sightec's vision is to unleash the great potential of the autonomous flights mass market by augmenting (and ultimately) replacing the human pilot with a lightweight and affordable Visual Situation Awareness solution.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with a strong background in AI, computer vision, and autonomous systems to drive our product roadmap. As a TPM, you will work at the intersection of engineering, business, and customer needs—translating market demands into scalable product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the product roadmap in alignment with company goals and market needs.
• Prioritize features based on customer feedback, competitive landscape, and technical feasibility.
• Work closely with leadership to align product direction with market expansion.

Technical Execution & Engineering Collaboration

• Translate customer and business requirements into clear product specifications and technical documentation.
• Work closely with AI, computer vision, and embedded engineering teams to define feature scope, development timelines, and technical trade-offs.
• Ensure seamless integration with 3rd party systems (sensor fusion, ISR platforms, C2 systems).

• Work with customers to gather feedback on product performance and future requirements.
• Conduct market research on competitors and emerging technologies to refine our autonomous vision AI capabilities.
• Support sales efforts in technical pre-sales discussions, demos, and proposal writing.

• Ensure the product is modular and scalable for different drone platforms.
• Work on compliance with procurement and cybersecurity requirements.

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, AI/ML, or Computer Vision.
• Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, computer vision, or robotics.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or autonomous systems.
• Strong understanding of AI-powered drone autonomy, ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance), and HLS applications.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business and product strategies.
• Experience working with engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
• Advantage: Experience integrating AI into SWaP-constrained (Size, Weight, and Power) environments.
