Backend Software Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our Core team, focusing on integrating with device management systems and building management platforms.

As part of the role you will have the opportunity to:

• Research and development integrations with IoT Management Systems (e.g., Video / Building Management System) while ensuring high availability, scalability, and system resilience
• Develop new backend services to communicate with external systems and devices using a variety of APIs, including REST, SDKs, and other network protocols
• Optimize performance and maintain system reliability at scale
• Collaborate with other team members to design efficient and scalable solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless operation of integrations
• Work closely with customers and manufacturers to address challenges, and provide technical support when needed

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science - Must
• At least 1 year of experience working as a software engineer in a tech company – Must
• Hands-on Experience with Java in a professional setting - Must
• Knowledge of Go - Advantage
• Familiarity with REST APIs and network protocols - Advantage
• Knowledge of MySql - Advantage
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Gitlab/Jenkins) - Advantage
• Understanding of Linux environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
