What You’ll Be Doing:

IT Leadership & Hands-On Execution

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small but highly effective IT team while remaining hands-on with technical implementations.
• Manage a mixed Mac & PC environment, ensuring secure, high-performance, and effective user support.
• Oversee IT projects from initial planning through execution, including new system deployments, upgrades or replacement of existing systems, implementation of security protocols, disaster recovery (DR) initiatives, automation efforts, and other strategic technology enhancements.
  
  

• Own and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including networking architecture, NAT gateways, firewalls, IAM access control, RBAC, networking, and security controls.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Kubernetes to ensure automated, scalable deployments.
• Oversee Office 365 administration, including email, collaboration tools, and identity management.
• Manage cloud provisioning, networking, and security controls, ensuring best practices in architecture, performance, and cost efficiency.
  
  

• Implement and maintain a Zero Trust security model (ZTNA), endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Administer Identity & Access Management (IAM) policies, ensuring secure, role-based access to cloud and internal systems.
• Secure corporate and cloud networks, managing firewalls, VPNs, DNS filtering, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), and threat monitoring solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and other security and compliance frameworks.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  
  

• Oversee and improve help desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of IT support issues in a hybrid/remote work environment.
• Manage IT asset inventory, software licensing, and endpoint deployment across Mac, Windows, and mobile devices.
• Optimize identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and automated onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Implement IT automation for support workflows, access controls, and patch management.
  
  

• Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing costs while ensuring high-quality technology investments.
• Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies and IT solutions to enhance productivity, security, and efficiency.
• Partner with executive leadership, security teams, and other departments to align IT strategy with business objectives.
  
  

• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing IT operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, and networking security controls.
• Expertise in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of Mac & Windows endpoint management, including MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune, or similar).
• Proven experience implementing Zero Trust security models, IAM best practices, and security automation.
• Experience managing firewalls, VPNs, SIEM, and threat detection systems to ensure security and compliance.
• Ability to automate IT workflows using scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi security, and cloud networking).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills—able to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach, capable of driving initiatives without direct supervision.
