About the role

AllCloud is seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to lead the development and automation of complex business processes using Workato as the primary integration platform. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience with integration technologies to design, build, deploy, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable integrations that streamline workflows and drive operational efficiency. This includes troubleshooting any problems related to the applications, working collaboratively with other team members, identifying improvements, and ensuring the functional and technical requirements are met.

Your day blends strategic planning and hands-on execution. Mornings may involve requirement analysis and Workato recipe design, while afternoons shift to troubleshooting, architecture discussions, and development, culminating in documentation and future planning.

The ideal candidate is highly versatile and capable of seamlessly transitioning between high-level strategic design, hands-on development, and consultative problem-solving, as dictated by the specific use case and immediate priorities. A willingness to learn new technologies is a must.

Key responsibilities:

• Workato Expertise: Design and implement complex integrations using Workato, including advanced recipe development, custom connectors, and API management.
• API and Web Services Mastery: Proficiently work with various APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and web services, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration.
• Solution Architecture: Analyze complex business requirements and design comprehensive integration solutions, leveraging Workato's capabilities to optimize performance and scalability.
• Automation and Optimization: Identify and automate manual processes, driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and reducing errors.
• Best Practices and Innovation: Research, document, and implement best practices for Workato development, promoting code reusability and maintainability.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor, optimize, and maintain end-to-end business processes, ensuring high availability and performance of integrations.
• Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve complex integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity within Workato.
• Security: To protect sensitive information, maintain a strong awareness of data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), and implement secure integration practices, including data encryption and access controls.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Workato or other relevant integration technology, including advanced recipe development, custom connectors, and API management
• Deep understanding of Web Services & APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and event-driven integrations using webhook.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and technologies related to API and system integrations, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API security gateways.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex system integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Workato Certified Professional Developer or Architect certification.
• Experience integrating Workato with CRM (Salesforce), ERP (NetSuite), and other enterprise systems (BambooHR, Atlassian, Tempo, Snowflake, etc).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and their integration capabilities.
• Experience with database concepts and SQL.
• Experience with version control systems (i.e. Bitbucket).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
