The Controller will oversee the organization’s financial operations, including

accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires strong

leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to financial accuracy and integrity.

The Controller will play a key role in managing the company’s financial performance

and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Be Accountable for:

Financial Management and Reporting:

• Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance of all departments with internal processes.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the CFO once a month.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data entry and record-keeping.

Internal Controls and Processes:

• Develop and enforce internal processes to ensure compliance with the budget and workflows.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Coordinate and oversee annual audits and tax preparation.
• Collaborate with the CFO to develop long-term financial strategies.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements and cost reductions.
• Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and improve financial reporting capabilities.

Team Management:

• Manage a team of 3 bookkeepers an assistant controller, and a payments manager.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the finance team.
• Ensure effective delegation of tasks and workload distribution within the team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

The Right Person:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA)- Must
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a controller
• Experience in team management - Must
• Experience with consolidated reports
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and independence skills
• Attention to detail, high accuracy, quick learner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other departments
• A strong technological orientation and a high work ethic are required

Working hours:

Sunday- From the office - 09:00-18:00

Monday + Wednesday 14:00-23:00

Tuesday + Thursday - From home- 09:00-18:00
