Financial Controller

Looking for a Financial Controller for a permanent position based in Ashdod for a Leading International Freight Forwarding Company.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Preparing tax reports, management reports, and financial analyses.
• Managing the company’s general ledger and internal control framework.
• Providing professional leadership for the bookkeeping department.
• Working with external auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities.
• Partnering in budget construction, forecasting, and budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Overseeing collections control and handling accounting and tax issues.
• Providing business leadership and financial support to executive management and division heads.
• Leading efficiency and process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Mandatory.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar financial role.
• Experience in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Knowledge and experience with IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience managing a bookkeeping department – Significant advantage.
• Experience from a medium or large company – Advantage.
• High proficiency in Excel and Priority ERP software.
• Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to lead processes and team members.
