Senior Software Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to collaborate closely with the leadership team and help shape the technical direction of an exciting new venture. This hands-on role will require a mix of deep technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive, with the opportunity to build a product from the ground up, taking it from prototype to production. You'll play a key role in developing scalable solutions that solve real-world customer problems and contribute to the company's journey toward its business milestones.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Collaborate with the leadership team to prototype, iterate, and deliver a product that addresses market needs
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems
• Drive technology decisions in preparation for launch and beyond
• Work alongside the commercial team to ensure alignment between technology development and business objectives
• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from initial ideation to deployment and ongoing post-launch improvements
• Establish best practices for coding, architecture, and development processes
• Lead the hiring efforts for future technical team members as the company grows

We’re Looking for…

• A passionate, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Fluency in English
• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in additional modern programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Java, Ruby, Go, C++, C#, Rust) being a plus
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and building scalable infrastructure
• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, with a focus on solving complex problems
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies
