Role Summary

We are seeking a Junior Penetration Tester / Researcher to join our on-site team in the Tel Aviv District. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing sophisticated attack tools, conducting application security testing, and providing actionable insights to enhance our clients’ security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Penetration Testing: Conduct thorough penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities.
• Tool Development: Research, design, and implement security attack tools to replicate the latest threats and exploit techniques.
• Incident Simulation: Help build scenarios that challenge existing defenses, ensuring security teams are prepared for worst-case scenarios.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed reports on findings, including proof-of-concept exploits and recommended remediation steps.
• Continuous Research: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and exploitation techniques to keep PTBOX’s offerings at the cutting edge.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Network & Application Security principles and Red Teaming methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, with an understanding of common vulnerabilities and threat actors.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating tasks and developing custom tools.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when crafting and testing exploits.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary group of researchers and engineers.
• Certifications: OSCP, PEN-200, or PEN-300 (or equivalent) preferred (optional).
• HTB/Try hack me (or equivalent) account with proven record of achievements.
