Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on High Power Control Electrical Engineer to design, implement, and optimize control systems for high-power electromagnetic coils. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in high-power and high-current systems, as well as expertise in advanced control techniques. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of cutting-edge electromagnetic systems used in our application. It requires a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Control System Design and Development:
- Design and implement advanced control systems for high-power electromagnetic coils.
- Develop algorithms for current regulation, fault protection, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration with power electronics and mechanical systems.
- Perform modeling and simulation of high-power systems to predict performance and stability.
- Utilize simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to optimize control strategies and validate designs.
- Lead the commissioning and testing of high-power control systems in laboratory or field settings.
- Develop and execute test plans, analyzing results to verify performance and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and operation.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Create detailed documentation, including schematics, control algorithms, and test results.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in control systems.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, high-current circuits, and magnetic systems.
- Proficiency in control theory and practical implementation.
- Skilled in simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Comfortable working in industrial or laboratory settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Highly motivated team player with the ability to work independently in a high paced R&D environment.
- Experience with high power systems, pulsed power systems, high-frequency switching techniques - advantage!
- Programming skills - advantage!
- Fluent in English - reading and writing.
