Data Team Lead

The Data Team Lead will oversee our dedicated data squad, which focuses on creating and maintaining internal tools for client onboarding, data analysis, data ETL integrations with clients, and developing back-office applications to enhance internal efficiency using LLMs. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong technical background and a passion for fostering collaboration and driving impactful results. The ideal candidate is highly project-oriented, skilled at planning and execution, and adept at building strong relationships across departments

Position responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of backend and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Set clear goals aligned with company objectives and provide technical and interpersonal support for team challenges.
• Project Management: Develop and oversee project plans with defined timelines, milestones, and KPIs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Proactively address roadblocks and optimize resource allocation to achieve objectives.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product, customer success, and engineering teams to align priorities and deliver seamless data solutions. Build strong stakeholder relationships to understand needs and provide impactful, data-driven outcomes.
• Technical Leadership: Supervise ETL pipeline development and internal tool creation, leveraging LLMs to enhance back-office processes. Stay current with industry trends to drive technical innovation and scalability.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Maintain thorough project documentation to ensure scalability and knowledge sharing. Continuously refine workflows through retrospectives and process enhancements to improve team efficiency.

What are we looking for?

Experience: At least 7 years of experience in the industry, with a proven track record of success leading and mentoring data engineering teams in dynamic environments. Strong technical expertise in backend development, ETL pipelines, and cloud platforms, with familiarity in Python, SQL, and LLMs as a plus.

Skills & Attributes: Excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Analytical and results-driven, focusing on measurable outcomes, continuous improvement, and a people-first approach to leadership.
