About the role:

We are looking for an exceptional Data Platform Team Lead to join our team and drive the development of the next generation of business financing products. This role is ideal for a skilled developer with deep expertise in data platforms and production environments, combined with strong leadership and project management experience.

What you'll do:

• Lead the development and evolution of Bluevine’s data platform, enabling ML and analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, data science, and backend teams to define and meet project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of data infrastructure.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to team members.
  
  

• Proven experience leading a development team and managing projects.
• 7+ years of programming experience with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Experience in building streaming and batch data processing pipelines.
• Expertise in various data storage solutions, including RDBMS, columnar data stores, and data lakes.
  
  

• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Debezium, Kafka, Flink).
• Familiarity with data lakes and related technologies (e.g., Iceberg, Redshift, Presto/Athena, Spark).
• Experience working in an AWS environment with services such as RDS, MSK, Neptune DB, ECS, SageMaker, Glue, and Lake Formation.
• Deep experience with Python.
