We have multiple positions open for Senior Software Engineers and  Backend Software Engineers to be hired across different Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps teams in Israel.

We at Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps are developing the next generation of SaaS security tools for data that is outside your network, and firewalls and perimeters don't work. Our technology allows organizations to protect their data in SaaS apps from any location, device, or network.

Defender for Cloud Apps is the most used service for protecting SaaS apps used by enterprises worldwide. And it's all being developed here, in Israel.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and support technology. You will improve the end- to- end lifecycle of services, analyze complex system behavior, and apply modern engineering practices to streamline deployments and reduce costs. Your role involves working on cutting-edge technologies and collaborating across disciplines to deliver impactful features. You will also contribute to business-critical initiatives in Microsoft Security, requiring deep technical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new areas. Qualifications

Qualifications  :

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education. 
• P rofessional hands-on software development experience, primarily focused on developing and designing backend services in cloud or on-premises environments. 
• E xperience working with distributed computing platforms for high scale systems 
• E xperience working with .NET or Java (or equivalent). 
• C an take initiative, map product/feature requirements, dependencies, and deliverables. 
• Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Attention to details and passion for quality engineering.
• Demonstrate success dealing with ambiguous “unsolved” problems; and the ability to independently make solid progress by breaking new ground.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications 

• E xperience working with Microsoft Azure. 
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Containers. 
• E xperience with databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis, Azure Data Explorer). 
• E xperience in the cybersecurity domain. 
• E xperience in product execution from inception to production. 
• E xperience in designing, building, and operating large -scale resilient distributed systems. 
• E xperience /familiarity with application and system monitoring systems.
