Automation Engineer

A cybersecurity startup develops cloud-based systems enabling secure and fast enterprise communication. The company's goal is to simplify IT complexities by consolidating enterprise communication and security capabilities into a single cloud platform, enhancing efficiency and security processes while reducing operational costs.

The company's solution provides a comprehensive enterprise communication platform, bridging the gap between the needs of digital businesses and the expensive, slow, and inflexible networks of traditional telecom providers—leveraging a Cloud-Native Carrier architecture.

Located in Tel Aviv, within walking distance of a train station, the company operates in a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week. It has approximately 900 employees worldwide, with around 450 based in Israel.

The role involves leading the automation team’s technological efforts, focusing primarily on backend automation development in Java (with the possibility of transitioning from Python). Responsibilities include end-to-end testing across various components, working with Linux, APIs, and additional system components.

Requirements

• High technical skills and ability to utilize software testing methodologies, processes, and tools
• Leadership capabilities – experience in leading teams or managing complex projects.
• 5+ years of experience implementing automated tests for multi-layered products
• Hands-on coding in java or other OO programming language
• Experience working with cloud IaaS such as AWS, and SaaS in general
• Experience with Win Operating system – Must
• Strong knowledge of L2-L4 networking protocols - IP/ARP/ICMP/TCP/UDP
• Strong knowledge of L6-L7 protocols - HTTP/FTP/DNS/DHCP/SSL/TLS
• Experience with Web Proxy, VPN clients and endpoint firewall
• Academic degree in Computer science or equivalent
