Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Project Management and Leadership:

o Guide software development teams through coaching sessions and mentorship.

o Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.

o Collaborate with project managers to align project requirements and deliverables.

o Establish and maintain development principles and best practices.

o Conduct feasibility studies and develop working prototypes, including simulation,

calculations, and schematics.

o Plan, troubleshoot, and resolve complex energy integration projects.

• Technical Oversight:

o Provide hands-on support in coding, testing, and debugging.

o Conduct peer reviews and ensure high standards through unit testing, code reviews, and

continuous integration.

o Maintain knowledge of current technical solutions and contribute at the code level.

• Communication and Collaboration:

o Act as the primary point of contact for technical integration, conducting feasibility

evaluations.

o Work directly with customers to determine requirements and explain technical

approaches.

• Documentation and Reporting:

o Write high-level technical documentation in English.

o Create and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, project

event logs, and risk assessments.

o Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in industrial communications protocols (e.g., MODBUS, MQTT, SNMP,

DNP3), and integration with 3rd party services via APIs.

o Well experienced with management solutions for Fleet, SCADA, EMS, and IoT cloud

services.

o Knowledgeable of IT/OT networks and security (e.g., IP routing, firewall, proxy, VPN,

etc..).

o Proven experience with Linux/IT skills (Devops, sysadmin, shell scripts).

o Familiarity with power systems (DC/AC systems, energy generation and storage).

• Must have skills:

o Expert developer in: Node JS, Typescript.

o Experienced in: C++, React, CSS, and unit testing frameworks.

o Expert with Linux DevOps, Git, Docker, deployment and configuration management

tools.

o Knowledgeable in databases (SQLite, Timeseries), reporting, analysis and BI.

o Experience working with industrial computing standards and requirements.

• Qualifications:

o Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science or another related

field.

o Excellent spoken and written English.

o Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous.
