Director of Engineering

A leading company in the aerospace technologies domain is searching for a Director of Engineering to manage three knowledge-intensive engineering teams in different disciplines, including Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Engineering, CNC Machining and Automation Engineering, and Tool Design and Metrology Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the specification and procurement of technological equipment and machines for the company.
• Drive innovation and lead the implementation of cutting-edge technologies in the company’s areas of operation, including automation and digitization.
• Maintain and enhance the professional standards of all engineers within the division.
• Recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees, as well as the professional development of the managers within the division.
• Ensure employee safety and compliance with safety regulations.
• Continuously improve work processes and product quality, while leading efficiency and technological improvement initiatives.
• Foster effective collaboration and initiate partnerships within and outside the engineering department.
• Meet work plans with an emphasis on quality, timeliness, budgets, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, Master's degree is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in one of the division's core fields (NDI/CNC/CMM/Tool Design) – mandatory.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems – mandatory.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams – mandatory.
• Familiarity and expertise in composite material structures is an advantage.
• Experience in supervising and managing subcontractors and consultants in various engineering fields is an advantage.
• Leadership skills, independence and accountability, and multitasking capabilities.
