Data Engineer

An Israeli Ad-Tech startup operating in the advertising market develops an autonomous ML-based platform that functions across multiple global ad exchanges in real time. This is the world of RTB (Real-Time Bidding).

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a train and light rail line, operates a hybrid model with one day working from home, and has about 80 employees, all based in Israel.

Founded in 2017, the company operates on a bootstrap model with no external investors, achieving profitability within its first year and remaining profitable ever since.

About the role-

• The role involves being part of a team and reporting to a Team Lead.
• Responsibilities include working with data from diverse sources, including web scraping and Google BigQuery databases, building complex ETL processes, and developing Data Warehouse and Data Lake infrastructures.
• The position also involves optimizing and orchestrating data to ensure proper storage, fast retrieval, and maintaining data integrity.

Requirements-

• 5 years experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience in SQL and Python.
• Good working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with high volume ETL/ELTs tools and methodologies - both batch and real-time processing.
• Understanding of how to build robust and reliable solutions.
• The ability to understand the business impact of the data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience in writing complex queries and optimizing them for performance.
• Able to understand complex data and data flows.
