Senior Software Eng (Simulators and Tools)

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Simulators and Tools Engineer to join our team. This role requires a proactive individual capable of thriving in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with Architects, VLSI teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects under tight schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software simulators for hardware IP components, including logical simulators and cycle-accurate simulators.
• Write and optimize tools for hardware bring-up and post-silicon validation.
• Collaborate directly with hardware architects and VLSI teams to align software models with hardware design and functionality.
• Utilize C++ (with a strong preference for experience in C++20) to develop efficient and accurate simulation tools.
• Leverage Python for tool development, scripting, and automation, with emphasis on Python bindings for seamless integration.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination across multiple teams and focal points, driving progress and achieving mission-critical results.
• Maintain a deep understanding of hardware and software integration, contributing to the development and debugging of hardware-software interfaces.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with C++, with strong proficiency in modern C++ standards (C++20 experience is highly desirable).
• 3+ years of experience with Python scripting for complex systems
• Development of Python bindings is highly desirable (Cython, Cppyy) .
• Solid understanding of hardware and software concepts, including hardware modeling and integration.
• Proven experience in working with tight schedules and multidisciplinary teams, driving projects from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with hardware integration workflows and processes is a significant advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working on hardware bring-up and post-silicon validation tools.
• Background in hardware simulation or modeling of IP components.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
