Data Engineer

An Israeli startup in the Ad-Tech field is developing an ML-based platform that operates autonomously across various global advertising exchanges in real time. This is the world of Real-Time Bidding (RTB).

The company is located in Tel Aviv (accessible via train and light rail) and offers a hybrid work model with one work-from-home day per week. It employs about 80 people, all based in Israel.

Founded in 2017, the company operates in a bootstrapped model without external investors. It achieved profitability within its first year and has remained profitable ever since.

Role description-

• As part of a team reporting to a Team Lead, you will:
• Work with data from diverse sources, including web scraping and Google BigQuery databases.
• Develop complex ETL processes, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake infrastructures.
• Optimize and orchestrate data storage for efficient retrieval while ensuring Data Integrity.

Requirements-

• 5 years' experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience in SQL and Python.
• Good working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with high volume ETL/ELTs tools and methodologies - both batch and real-time processing.
• Understanding of how to build robust and reliable solutions.
• The ability to understand the business impact of the data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience in writing complex queries and optimizing them for performance.
• Able to understand complex data and data flows.
• Have a strong analytical mind with proven problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive them to completion.
