Data Engineer

A leading startup in the E-commerce domain, the company develops a product designed to empower consumers to make smarter and safer online shopping decisions. Its websites offer comprehensive guides and comparative reviews aimed at simplifying the lives of online shoppers.

The company serves hundreds of millions of users worldwide in multiple languages and is a market leader in retail marketing. It collaborates with major brands, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and AliExpress. Leveraging advanced technologies and AI-based strategies, the company has successfully expanded its product coverage and global reach.

The team operates a hybrid work model with one day from home and is based in Tel Aviv near a train station. The company currently employs 60 people and plans significant growth in the coming year.

The technology stack incorporates advanced Big Data solutions, Machine Learning, and AI to drive continual growth for its clients by providing a personalized user experience and enabling substantial growth opportunities.

Responsibilities-

• Building the company data lake.
• Working closely with the Data Engineering manager and product manager to define the core company platform.
• Design & Implement from scratch different ETL processes.
• Work with product, Marketing, Finance, Sales and R&D teams to deliver the best data solution and insights that will help them better understand our customers, product usage, or our own operations.

Requirements-

• 4 years of actual experience in Data Engineering
• 3 years' experience working with Cloud computing services (AWS in particular)
• Actual experience with BI, analytics, ETL and data pipelines built with Apache Airflow and DBT
• Experience working on high scales / BIG DATA solutions such as Snowflake
• Experience with Python and software development
• Experience scalability and performance.
• Independent, reliable and can lead big projects.
• BSc or MSc in CS / Math / Elec. Eng. - a big advantage
