Research Scientist

Job Description:

A young startup company located in Nesher is looking for a PhD researcher to join the effort of anti-cancer therapy development based on p53 containing extracellular vesicles.  Full-time job, starting immediately.

We are looking for a dynamic out-of-box thinking individual that is ready to try! Capable of identifying problems and proposing potential solutions including development of new analytical methods. High English level is must.

Qualifications:

-         PhD with at least 2 years of experience in biotechnology industry.

-         Extensive knowledge and experience in molecular biology.

-         Knowledge of p53 mechanism pathway.

-         Knowledge and hands-on experience in experimental oncology development.

-         Industry or academic experience in the development of biologics (cells, or cell-derived products) for therapeutic use.

Key Responsibilities:

-         Designing, execution, and troubleshooting of experiments.

-         Analysis, interpretation, documentation and presentation of data.

-         Preparation of experimental reports.

-         Working closely with a flexible, highly-collaborative and interdisciplinary team to contribute where needed to advancing the company goals and missions.

Skills Requirements:

-         Working in an aseptic environment – must.

-         Experience in cell culture work – must.

-         Experience in iPSCs and other stem cells differentiation – must.

-         Gene editing techniques (CRISPR) including viral transduction and transfection – must.

-         Experience with EVs isolation, characterization and labeling including  TFF/SEC.

-         Knowledge and hands-on experience in cell immortalization, apoptosis assays, cell viability assay, FACS, ultracentrifuge (sucrose gradient), W.B and ELISA

-         Knowledge of pre-clinical oncology models.
