Head of Engineering

Golan Industries is looking for a Head of Engineering to join our Military Aircraft Division.

We develop, produce, and market energy-absorbing seats for military and civilian aviation sectors (airplanes and helicopters).

What will you do:

• Oversee development and testing activities and provide engineering support for production and assembly lines.
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 10 engineers.
• Provide support for product marketing and sales activities.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement with work processes and product quality, leading technological enhancements and efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, product quality, and budgets.
• Coordinate licensing activities with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), FAA, and customers.
• Plan and participate in domestic and international testing.
• Report to the Director of Golan Industries and be part of the executive management team.

What we're looking for:

Mandatory requirements

• Israeli citizenship.
• Academic degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of direct experience managing an engineering team.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• High-level proficiency in English (written, spoken, and reading).
• Flexibility for overtime and international travel.

Additional preferred criteria:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant Master's degree.
• Experience in static and dynamic strength analysis.
• Aerospace industry experience.
• Familiarity with HYPERMESH-RADIOSS and PATRAN/NASTRAN software.
• Experience leading tests (environmental, static, and dynamic).
