As a Software Engineer, You’ll

As a Software Engineer, Protocols on our Protocols team, you’ll work to take our Multi-Protocols Interface to the next level. You’ll achieve this primarily by helping craft ambitious features and critical components for Weka’s main product, which is a distributed data platform that provides vital services and value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of storage solutions, including S3, SMB, and NFS protocol integration.
Troubleshoot and optimize protocol-specific functionalities.
Take full ownership of the code and quality.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (with excellence) in Computer Science or a related field from a top-rated academic institute.
Knowledge of storage protocols (especially S3, SMB, and NFS) or a strong interest in learning about them.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced startup environment.
Team player, autodidact, excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

A couple of years experience in a technological unit, internship, or a junior position in an IT company.
M.Sc, academic projects, or certifications related to storage technology.
Experience working in C++, Go, or Python.
Familiarity with scripting languages and Linux OS-level knowledge.
Familiarity with storage concepts (S3, SMB, NFS, Linux filesystems).
Familiarity with network concepts and protocols.
Familiarity with containerized environments.
Demonstrated project management skills.
