Senior Backend Software Engineer

A startup based in Tel Aviv, focused on developing an AI platform is currently seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their dynamic R&D team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support software components across the stack.
• Lead significant projects and implement major features.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate vendor solutions.
• Participate in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and management.
• Contribute as part of a fast-paced and flexible team.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in Python.
• Strong knowledge of backend technologies, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and message queue systems.
• Proven experience in designing scalable and highly available systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments.
• Experience with test frameworks and test-driven development.
  
  

• B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in startup environments or multidisciplinary product development.
• Experience in developing multi-threading/tasking applications.
• Familiarity with AWS-based systems.
• Experience with distributed architecture, K8s, Docker, and REST API.
• Experience with computer vision systems and AI-driven products.
• Familiarity with video systems and streaming platforms.
• Experience with technologies such as GitLab, InfluxDB, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, PyTorch, and AWS (SQS, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS).
