We’re seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with Security Expertise to lead our solutions team. This is a critical leadership role combining hands-on backend engineering expertise with proven management skills. You’ll serve as the technical and managerial backbone of the team, driving complex projects to completion while mentoring and guiding engineers to achieve their fullest potential.

As the technical leader and manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping the team’s technical vision, ensuring excellence in execution, and fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the hands-on technical authority in the team, writing and reviewing code, debugging, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Define the technical roadmap, architecture, and standards for backend development to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, guiding their professional development and ensuring they are equipped to deliver on the team’s objectives.
• Drive the implementation of backend systems and APIs that integrate with security tools like EDR, SIEM, and CSPM, ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align technical goals with business objectives.
• Stay deeply involved in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges, especially in customer environments.
• Maintain a balance between managing the team and remaining hands-on with technical contributions.
• Serve as a key technical point of contact for professional services engagements, ensuring that backend solutions align with customer requirements and industry best practices.
• Translate customer business needs into actionable technical deliverables and collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  
  

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including significant hands-on coding and system architecture expertise.
• 5+ experience as a team lead or engineering manager, with a demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing technical teams.
• Deep knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java, and expertise in designing and building scalable systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-stakes technical decisions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring and aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A service-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving team success and delivering outstanding solutions to customers.
• A track record of building solutions that are deployed in customer-facing environments or adapted to diverse customer requirements.
  
  

• Experience working with or within professional services teams and methodologies.
• Experience with security principles and tools, such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and CSPM, and their integration into backend systems.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking and application security principles.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2.
