Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist and LLM Engineer with a strong focus on Python expertise and hands-on experience in developing and implementing advanced AI and NLP solutions. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth technical skills and industry experience to design, develop, and optimize AI/ML models, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), to address complex challenges in our target sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge NLP and AI models to solve complex problems in transportation, logistics, supply chain, insurance, and fintech domains.
• Develop Python-based solutions for data processing, model training, and deployment in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into enterprise-grade applications.
• Conduct research on the latest advancements in AI, ML, and LLMs to maintain competitive edge.
• Optimize and fine-tune LLMs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency using techniques such as PEFT.
• Analyze and process large datasets to extract actionable insights that drive business value.
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient codebases and documentation.
• Mentor team members by providing technical guidance, fostering skill development, and encouraging best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to high-quality software development standards.
• Implement tools and workflows for measuring and reconciling data accuracy, especially within buy-price models across different contracts.
• Support integration with Datadog and BI tools to provide data-driven decision support.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Python, with strong expertise in designing and implementing ML pipelines.
• Extensive experience with NLP frameworks and libraries (e.g., Transformers, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed computing is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to deploy AI/ML models in production environments with a focus on scalability and robustness.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Transformer architectures.
• Expertise in Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) techniques and other LLM optimization strategies.
• Excellent understanding of unstructured and semi-structured data processing techniques.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a critical and creative mindset.
• Strong knowledge of industry-specific challenges in logistics, supply chain, transportation, insurance, and fintech.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
