Cyber Security Consultant

As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you will bridge the gap between technical expertise and strategic advisory, delivering tailored cybersecurity solutions to clients. You will lead and support initiatives related to DDoS mitigation, WAF configuration, and other cybersecurity domains, ensuring robust protection and operational resilience. Your role will encompass running simulations, writing recommendations, conducting audits, generating procedures, and training employees while staying abreast of the latest threats and protection platforms.

This position combines technical acumen, customer engagement, and project management, enabling you to make a meaningful impact on client organizations. You will motivate and guide teams toward achieving optimal security readiness while advancing your professional skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct DDoS simulations and readiness assessments, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead and participate in implementing advanced security measures to mitigate DDoS and other cyber threats.
• Deliver professional services, including audits, incident response planning, and training sessions for client employees.
• Collaborate with clients to establish procedures, improve incident response, and strengthen cybersecurity frameworks.
• Research and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
• Engage in broader cybersecurity tasks, including API security strategies, ATO mitigation, and Red Team exercises.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• +2 years of experience in cybersecurity, such as DDoS mitigation, SOC operations, penetration testing, or related fields.
• Solid understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English, with experience in customer-facing roles.
• Proactive and independent problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving results.
• Availability to work occasional nights and weekends for scheduled activities or incident response emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with leading security platforms (e.g., Cloudflare, Radware, Akamai, Imperva).
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., BGP routing, WAF, CDN) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of scripting and automation for cybersecurity operations.
• Prior experience in SOC operations, penetration testing, or professional services.
