We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our QA team.

Who are you?

You are the team member we want since you are a highly motivated and experienced Manual QA Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Our ideal candidate can collaborate with cross-functional teams with the out most effective communication skills and collaboration skills in order to resolve issues and improve software quality; You are also excellent with paying special attention to details and proven commitment to delivering high quality results. As we are a fast-paced company, our dynamic is the same and so you need to be able to adapt to that work environment.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Design:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Develop detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on project specifications.

Manual Testing:

• Execute manual test cases to identify and report defects, ensuring the proper functioning of software applications.
• Verify data integrity by writing and executing SQL queries against relational databases - mandatory.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing.

API Testing:

• Utilize Postman and Swagger to ensure API functionality meets project requirements.
• Validate data exchange between different system components through API testing.

Defect Management:

• Document and report software defects, including detailed steps to reproduce issues and their impact on the application.
• Track and prioritize defects and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Test Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
• Create and update test plans and test summary reports.

Continuous Improvement:

• Proactively identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance the overall testing strategy.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience – Mandatory
• Minimum of 4 years of manual testing experience in software quality assurance – Mandatory
• Proven experience or background in finance or related fields – mandatory
• Familiarity with mortgage terminology, products, regulations and lifecycle processes from origination to closure – An advantage
• Experience in QA or testing within financial products – An advantage
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in using tools such as Postman, SQL, Swagger, AWS and API testing - mandatory
• Proficiency in SQL and Mongo DB for database testing and data validation - mandatory
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - mandatory
• Good written and spoken English
