Procurement Officer

Job Overview:

Israel Shipyards seeks an experienced Procurement Officer to lead procurement activities and manage supplier relationships. This role involves sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead procurement activities for various materials, from basic components to complex systems.
2. Collaborate with local and international suppliers to identify, select, and manage supplier relationships, focusing on quality, cost, and availability.
3. Negotiate delivery terms, pricing, and other commercial conditions to achieve optimal agreements.
4. Draft and manage commercial contracts in alignment with company guidelines and procedures.
5. Monitor and oversee delivery timelines, product quality, and supplier reliability.
6. Coordinate with internal departments such as production, engineering, and logistics to meet organizational needs.
7. Address and resolve procurement issues quickly and respond to urgent demands.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, industrial management, economics, business administration, or a related field (mandatory).
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a procurement manager in an industrial setting.
3. Experience working with local and international suppliers.
4. Expertise in procuring various products, including raw materials, mechanical components, and complex systems.
5. Experience drafting commercial contracts and managing supplier partnerships.
6. Knowledge of production processes, materials, and industrial workflows.
7. Proficiency in ERP systems, with a PRIORITY preference.
8. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
9. Basic understanding of procurement-related data analysis, including costs and availability.
10. Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
11. Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
12. Excellent service orientation with the ability to manage multiple interfaces under pressure.
13. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
14. Knowledge of international shipping processes and logistics.
15. Familiarity with international procurement standards.
