Associate Software Test Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. As a QA Engineer, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts, helping ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify potential issues and develop comprehensive test cases.

This role is ideal for a QA engineer with a mix of manual testing experience and strong automation skills, who is eager to grow in both areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual & Automated Testing: Execute and design manual test cases and scenarios for web and backend applications. Assist in expanding and maintaining automation test suites using relevant tools and frameworks.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, log, and track bugs throughout the software development lifecycle. Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Development, Product) to ensure proper integration of test cases with development processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and coverage across both manual and automated tests.
• Regression Testing: Execute regression tests and ensure new features do not introduce unexpected behavior into existing functionality.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 1-2 years' experience in software manual testing.
• Technical Skills:
• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and integrating tests into pipelines.
• Manual Testing: Strong experience designing and executing manual tests, with attention to detail and quality.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working in an Agile environment, participating in daily standups and team activities.

Nice to Have:

• Having experience writing and maintaining automated tests. Ability to automate both frontend and backend test scenarios.
• Experience with API testing (using Postman, REST API tools, etc.).
• Familiarity with Functional testing tools or methodologies (Testim, mabl, Functionize, etc.).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools or methodologies (Neoload, JMeter, etc.).
• Mobile Technologies: Familiarity with mobile technologies and experience testing mobile applications (Android & iOS).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Eagerness to learn and grow, with a proactive attitude toward improving testing practices.
