Security and IT Operations Manager

We are hiring a Security and IT Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-team and cross-departmental projects. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of information security governance, compliance, risk functions, and information technology compute and deployment platforms, including infrastructure and networking, virtualization, on-premises, and cloud environments.

Additional responsibilities include supporting procurement processes, quarterly project planning, and budget planning and forecasting efforts. This role will report to the Chief Information Security Officer and maintain a dotted line with the Director of Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex technical and operational projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely, within budget and high-quality outcomes
• Manage governance, compliance, and risk activities and projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, IT, and stakeholders, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Coordinate cross-team and cross-departmental projects, fostering communication and collaboration between different business units
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
• Support procurement processes, including vendor selection, third-party reviews, and procurement due diligence
• Participate in quarterly project planning efforts and budget planning to align resources and financials with project objectives
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements
• Conduct project status updates, progress tracking, and issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and team members

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing IT operations and technical projects, preferably in cybersecurity and infrastructure
• Cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
• IT service management (ITIL)
• Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure: networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls), virtualization, on-premise and cloud infrastructure** (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
• Proficiency in Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with Project management tools: Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira
• PMP certification or equivalent (preferred)
• High level of proficiency in English

• Information Risk Management (GRC) concepts and principles
• Industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
• DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker)
